- Brief description:
- So many things to say… I guess I’ll start with saying I’m from the DC Metro area, and with that, go Skins! I graduated from Spelman College in 2005 with a BS in Computer Science, and I completed my MS in Interaction Design and Information Architecture at the University of Baltimore in 2009. Currently I’m developing websites for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. I like to sneak in graphic design and user experience practices here too, but I look forward to tightening up my programming, XML and jQuery skills, thanks to the special reminders from Rob and Dawson. In the meantime, I’ve got ballet, step aerobics, and a few long-distance friendships to keep me busy. Thanks for visiting!
How did you do the “rays” that are behind the shield and ice cream bar art? I feel like a noob.
I actually used Physical Magic’s set of Vector Line Photoshop Brushes – find them here – http://physicalmagic.deviantart.com/art/Vector-Line-Brushes-39112536. Enjoy! There’s also a couple of custom ways to do this, including the method in Dr. Photoshop’s “Burst of Rays” tutorial – http://dr-photoshop.com/tutorials/index.php?id=58.
Thank you Shani!
